Edward Anderson burst into laughter when he heard the word "separation."
"Fine, we can separate if you want, but give me a million in alimony. I won't ask for more since you're poor and can't afford it. Give me a million in alimony, and I'll leave you right away!"
First, it was separate beds, now separation? Did they think Edward could just be discarded after being used?
Bella Scott was a bit bewildered when she heard the word "alimony."
She had only ever heard about alimony being paid after a divorce, and usually, it was paid by the man to the woman. When had there ever been separated but still asking for alimony? This was practically robbery.
"A separation, not a divorce, so there's no alimony!" Bella blurted out but immediately felt that something was wrong about this.
He was being unreasonable, so why should she bother with him?
