"Bella, do you look down on me too?" Charles asked seriously, "Or do you think I got where I am because of Elyssa?"
Bella shook her head in denial, "There are many keyboard warriors online; you don't need to take them seriously. I know you are outstanding, and I know you would succeed eventually, it's just a coincidence in terms of timing..."
"Then come have lunch with me; we haven't talked one-on-one for a long time." Charles said and pulled Bella into a nearby restaurant.
During the meal, Charles did most of the talking while Bella chose to be a listener.
"Bella, you used to have so much to say to me." Charles gazed at Bella with a lost expression.
