Brynn Williams stood there in shock, as if turned to stone, until her coworker Melina Brown's voice sounded behind her: "Brynn, was that Mr. Anderson who just dropped you off? Do you know Edward Anderson?!"
Brynn forced herself to muster up some energy and replied, "Yes, it's Edward Anderson."
Since she got along well with Melina, the two were quite close, and there was no need to lie.
"He's even more handsome in person than in magazines and on TV, truly the most charming man in Philadelphia. How do you know him? Don't tell me you two have something going on..." Melina teased Brynn with an ambiguous smile.
Brynn's face turned red, and she laughed shyly, "We've known each other for many years, we're just friends."
