"What the hell is wrong with you? Always fighting, haven't you grown up? Can't you calm down?!" Edward Anderson scolded Bella Scott as soon as he saw her.
Bella scratched her head: "Sorry, I've caused you trouble."
Edward was slightly taken aback, not used to Bella's polite tone. He was used to her recklessness, her disregard for details, and her unbridled attitude.
"What happened exactly?" Edward inquired.
He had asked for details earlier; everyone claimed that Bella was the one who started the fight and injured someone. However, Bella didn't say a word when the police interrogated her, which was not like her at all.
The situation might not be as simple as it seemed.
"It's nothing, just got into a fight. But you're here, right? I knew you'd come to protect me." Bella nonchalantly smiled.
Edward asked a few more questions, but Bella remained silent.
Afterward, they got into the car, neither of them speaking.
