"It's just Uncle being too emotional, I, Edward Anderson, never made any promises to the Bennetts or Saylor. If Uncle has any doubts, he can go ask my dad. Today is my and Bella's wedding, and I warmly welcome everyone to have a toast with us."
Edward said, glancing at Kaila Nelson, who was standing by, ready to follow instructions.
Understanding his intentions, Kaila stepped forward and said to Mr. Bennett and his daughter, "Mr. Anderson and Miss Scott's wedding is about to begin, Mr. Bennett, Miss Bennett, please step aside."
Saylor had never suffered such humiliation in her life, and she had already burst into tears, sobbing uncontrollably.
Seeing his daughter's distress, Mr. Bennett said to Edward, "Don't get cocky too soon, I'm not letting this go just like that!"
Edward raised an eyebrow, lacking patience to deal with the Bennetts any further.
He turned to the stunned emcee and said, "Isn't the wedding going to start? Are we waiting until next year?"
