They clearly loved each other, but the only obstacle between them was Cindy, Bella's lost past.
Perhaps if Bella could regain her past memories and Edward could overcome his mental barrier, they could rekindle their romance.
"I personally drove her out of this house," Edward murmured quietly.
He had only come back today to get a glimpse of her, but he didn't expect things to end so unpleasantly.
What he despised was her coldness and heartlessness. Why could she still live so happily when he was in so much pain?
