"What are you mumbling about?" Bella Scott turned her grief into appetite, and buried herself in food.
"Eat slowly." Charles White saw Bella's eating, making him feel hungry as well.
Bella didn't bother talking anymore, focusing on her meal.
After dinner, she was so full she didn't want to move.
Seeing her lounging on the chair without getting up, Charles teased, "Do you want me to carry you out of the restaurant?"
"If you dare to hold me like that, wouldn't Elyssa divorce you?!" Bella sneered.
She touched her bloated belly and lazily got up.
Charles followed behind her, and they walked out of the restaurant one after the other. Their next destination was the hilltop of the city.
Standing at the summit, looking down at the city's nighttime scenery, Bella suddenly felt people were so insignificant. Otherwise, how could people say "the insignificance of human beings, like a grain of sand in the vast ocean"?
"This world is beautiful," she whispered softly.
