Bella Scott looked back and smiled, "I'm really okay. You go on with your work."
She worried that Edward Anderson would misunderstand her visit as wanting to get back with him, so she added, "If I ever get married again, I won't invite you to the wedding. I don't want to put you in a difficult position."
If Edward ever remarries, she doesn't need to attend his wedding either.
After all, they were once a couple who had faced hardships and shared sweet moments together. All they needed was for the other to live a good life after their time together.
Edward seemed slightly taken aback.
Did she come here just to tell him this?
"I'll walk you out of the hotel," Edward said, then left his office.
Bella looked at his retreating figure, wondering why he needed to bother with such a short distance. Wasn't it a waste of time?
She chose not to question it and followed him out of the hotel.
Edward assigned Randy Hill to drive Bella back to the Hernandezs', with a very serious demeanor.
