"There's no need, it's not that far away..." Kassidy Dean didn't finish her sentence as Martez Parker grabbed her wrist. She followed him passively, "escorting" him out of the Hernandez's front door.
It wasn't until Martez hailed a cab that he seemed somewhat unwilling to leave: "Don't you have anything to say to me?"
Kassidy thought for a moment and took two steps back: "Goodbye!"
Martez was once again speechless. This woman might not have other talents, but she could always make him so angry that he wanted to spit blood.
After finally sending Martez away, Kassidy felt like a huge burden had been lifted from her chest. When she escorted him earlier, she had a ridiculous illusion that made it seem like he was her honored guest. The thought of that word made her whole body uncomfortable.
Not wanting to meet John Bacon again, she simply quietly returned to her own guest room.
Time passed quickly, and soon it was John Bacon and Nina Lambert's wedding day.
