Emma Smith had this advantage. After experiencing things, she would continuously grow, rather than remaining stationary.
"I know, you come back early too." Robert Thomson kissed her on the corner of her lips, "Little Lucky and I will be waiting for you at home."
=======================
When Emma arrived at the front door, Mrs. Smith was holding luggage and standing on the stairs by herself. Seeing her carrying things in both hands, Emma hurried forward: "Mom, let me help you."
Mrs. Smith didn't say anything or look at her, seemingly unaware of her arrival. As Emma approached, Mrs. Smith just took a step forward and walked ahead.
Emma's hand, reaching out to help her carry things, suddenly froze in midair. She knew that her mother must be angry! She didn't know what to say, so she just followed behind her, trying to see how she could appease her anger.
