"Alright!" Another attempt at resuscitation proved fruitless, with the electrocardiogram remaining flat.
"Again!"
"Okay!"
After several tries, the electrocardiogram suddenly began to waver!
Mason finally breathed a sigh of relief. However, he knew that even though the cardiopulmonary resuscitation initially had some effect, and the child had been pulled back from the brink of death, they couldn't let their guard down, or danger would still be around.
"Hurry, administer the second stage medication! Intravenously!"
Time was of the essence, and the nurse had already prepared the medication. She took the child's small hand and injected the medicine from the syringe into his body.
"What's the electrocardiogram reading?" Mason asked loudly, without looking back.
"50." The nurse replied immediately.
"What about his blood pressure?"
"40-120."
"Administer the medication again!"
After a series of tense resuscitation efforts, Thomas's condition eventually improved.
