"Hey, can you marry me now?"
"Who said I'm marrying you!" Emma Smith blushed, but pretended to be stubborn. "Just 'cause you say marry, doesn't mean I will. That's so embarrassing. And just because you bought a ring, do I have to obediently reach out my hand and let you put it on?"
"Even if you don't obediently reach out your hand, it's still going to be put on." Robert Thomson casually grabbed her hand, slid the ring on her finger, and looked left and right with satisfaction. "Mm, not bad, it fits perfectly."
Emma pretended to try to pull off the ring, but Robert quickly persuaded her: "Don't throw it! It cost me several months' salary to buy this! According to your request, it's a full 9 carats!"
Only then did Emma take a look at the diamond ring. It was colorless and transparent, with well-polished facets that sparkled radiantly under the light.
