Emma nodded, not caring if it took a few more months to marry Robert as long as she could be with him.
"And about your adopted son, since you can't bear to leave him and still want to marry our Robert, you have to negotiate with the Edwards family. If they agree, then we can give our blessing. Otherwise, we absolutely won't accept this child!"
Alexander's tone was severe, but his words were reasonable. Robert wanted to say something, but Emma stopped him: "I know, keeping this child is my own stubbornness.
