A few people chuckled before Emma Smith's phone rang in her pocket. She picked it up and saw that it was her mom!
Only then did she remember that her mom had taken Sofia Anderson's prescription to collect some medicine an hour ago. Why hadn't she come back yet?
She immediately answered: "Hello?"
"You little brat! Where are you? Why can't I see you?" Mrs.Smith asked with full vigor.
Emma Smith wiped her sweat: "Mom, I'm in Dr. Anderson's office on the 25th floor."
"Dr. Anderson? Alright, I'm coming!" Mrs. Smith already knew about Sofia Anderson treating her yesterday. When she went downstairs to get the medicine, she had to wait in line to pay, but the cashier system crashed and took half an hour to fix. After finally getting the medicine, she bumped into an old coworker who had moved to Swallow City for work. They chatted for a while since it had been ages, and by the time she left, it was already an hour later.
