David Thomson was stunned, as was Christopher Wilson. David quickly grabbed his brother's arm: "What are you doing? So many directors are watching! Whether your proposal can pass depends on what you say!"
Robert glanced around and realized this was a quarterly board meeting. Although the majority of the Thomson Group's shares were held by the Thomson Family, there were still representatives of other shareholders present at the meeting.
At this moment, Robert tried to leave, but David held onto his wrist. The meeting room was full with two rows of people. All directors were looking at the two brothers skeptically, wondering what they were discussing.
With so many eyes on him, Robert gently pulled his hand back and said, "I'm sorry, Emma has an emergency."
Then, he handed the presentation script to David and walked out!
He left behind a furious David Thomson and a group of bewildered directors.
