Robert Thomson parked the car to the side, holding Thomas Smith's hand in one hand and Emma Smith's hand in the other, as they walked towards the house.
Swallow City had just experienced a light rain, which was still drizzling. There was a bridge leading to the villa, and Thomas, who probably had rarely seen such a house surrounded by water, immediately jumped for joy: "Mom, can we dig a pond next to our house in the future?"
He then remembered Robert's promise: "If we dig a pond, we can keep little goldfish!"
"There are lavender fields near our house, full of flowers, very beautiful." Emma knew that this kind of room was part of the villa's design, and they probably couldn't dig a pond themselves.
Who would have thought that Robert would say: "If Tommy likes it, sure, next time we'll dig a swimming pool in the backyard. We won't be able to keep goldfish, but we can play in the water during the summer. How does that sound?"
Emma was taken aback: "How can this be?"
