Emma couldn't bring herself to go up, and Thomas felt that he had no right to enjoy anything in peace. Mrs. Smith despised Thomas, and the nanny, Auntie Garcia, couldn't meddle in her employer's business.
But then.
When the scene was engulfed in silence, Robert Thomson suddenly strode forward!
He stood before Thomas.
Thomas looked up to see the tall Robert, like a wall. Sunlight filtered through from behind him, casting a shimmering glow on his body.
He resembled an ancient giant, towering and mighty, eclipsing the sun and sky.
"Why are you crying?" Robert's first words left Thomas dumbfounded. To see his cold and stern face, Thomas had to strain his neck upwards.
"No crying!" With a sudden roar, Robert's voice exploded like thunder, shaking Thomas's small body violently.
