Emma Smith whispered to her son, "Tommy, Uncle Thomson seems a bit unhappy."
This child, even this he noticed? Emma laughed, "I know, Mom will tell him about Tommy's kindness when I go back." Emma poked his little face, and the little guy immediately became coy, "Uncle Thomson said boys should not always have their faces pinched by adults, or they won't grow up!"
"You little rascal, you're using Uncle Thomson already?" Emma laughed, a genuinely relieved laugh. Seeing her son getting along with Robert Thomson and being able to solve his father's problem, what could make her happier than this?
"You sleep well. Children need to sleep well to grow up quickly." Emma kissed his face and turned off the light. Before falling asleep, Thomas whispered, "Mom, I love you."
"I love you too." Emma lingered on his face, then closed the door for him.
She turned around, prepared everything, and planned to tell Robert Thomson the truth about Thomas' background!
