Thomas had been quietly eating the whole time. Suddenly, a small dumpling appeared in his bowl. He looked up and saw the same bad uncle from last night, who was now surprisingly amiable. Emma wanted to ease the relationship between them and quickly said, "Aren't you going to thank your Uncle Thomson?"
Thomas blinked and saw Robert's smug face. Since his mother asked him to thank Robert, he could only reluctantly say, "Thank you."
Robert, on the other hand, smiled warmly, "No need to thank me. We're family, after all. No need to be so polite."
Mrs.Smith couldn't take it anymore. She put down her chopsticks and said, "Emma, don't we have to go back home today? We need to bring over some things you just moved to your new home."
Mentioning this, Emma nodded, "Yeah, some clothes, luggage, Tommy's toys, and documents."
At first, Robert didn't think much of it. Clothes, luggage, and the kid's toys—he could buy them all! He was wealthy, after all.
