Emma Smith was upset, but as she started to have feelings for Robert Thomson and saw that he seemed remorseful, she decided to have a good talk with him.

Seeing her serious expression, he thought that she must want to discuss their future together. Eager like a large dog, he approached her with bright eyes, almost wagging his tail.
Emma held her belly, and Robert immediately stepped forward to hold her waist, helping her into their bedroom and sitting her down on a sofa with a cushion behind her back, concerned about her comfort.
