If he showed any doubt or disdain towards Emma because of this, she wouldn't give her blessing for them to be together!
When Dylan heard Tommy's name, pain crossed his heart. He nodded, "Yes."
After a pause, he added, "I know Tommy doesn't really accept me yet, but I'll try my best."
Mrs. Smith finally felt more at ease after hearing this. Although she didn't like the little burden Tommy brought, she couldn't argue with her daughter's decision to adopt him. If it weren't for Tommy running off today, Emma wouldn't have suffered!
