Thomas Smith nodded, and Dylan King turned his childhood experience of searching for his father into a story and told him: "Once upon a time, there was a little boy who had a gentle mother and a kind father. They lived in a small town, happily spending their days. Until one day, the boy came to know that the man he called 'father' was not his biological father. His real father was someone else."
His voice was low and his speaking pace steady as he sat at the front of Thomas's bed, making the story sound like a fairytale.
"He wanted to meet his real father, so one day he asked his mother about him, but she refused. The little boy was very angry and ran away from home to stay at a friend's house for a day. When he returned the next day, he heard that his mother had had an accident while looking for him and was now in the hospital."
"Ah?" Thomas exclaimed, "How could this happen?"
In the end, Thomas asked, "So did the boy find his father in the end?"
