She skewered a piece of fruit with a toothpick and brought it to Thomas's lips. He just "humphed" and turned his head away, not accepting it. His already-rosy little mouth pouted proudly. He wanted to see his dad, but since waking up that day, his mom never mentioned it again, and he felt so disappointed.
"Tommy, your mom's feeding you apple," Dylan King looked at Emma Smith's hand, still hanging in the air, and the sorrow in her eyes. He frowned and scolded immediately.
"Dr. Edwards, you eat! The apple is sweet!" Tommy ignored his mom but showed a sweet smile to Dylan King. Dylan King was stunned and looked up to see Emma's hand still by her son's mouth, motionless.
