Everyone present understood what Ella meant before she finished speaking, but the most clueless of them all was probably Robert himself, one of the parties involved.
What Ella said and how the incident actually unfolded were completely different! Robert hadn't even had time to ponder this discrepancy when he was interrupted by Samuel Martin's angry reprimand.
