Andrew was really good to Tommy, so good that Emma herself felt guilty about it.
"Mom, the puzzle I put together is called 'A Happy Family'," Thomas held up the puzzle piece in his hand and said to Emma.
"Oh, it's called a happy family, let me see what Tommy put together," Emma leaned in to take a look.
It turned out to be a family of three. Thomas had put together the dad and the child, leaving only the mom. It seemed that, as Andrew had said, once the mom was put together, Emma would come back.
Feeling a warmth in her eyes and suppressing all her emotions, Emma took the remaining puzzle pieces from the floor and said, "Let mom help you, okay?"
"Yeah, mom, let's put mom together," Thomas said seriously. After he finished speaking, he seemed to find his words amusing and giggled.
Perhaps it was because they had been apart for so long that they missed each other so much, and it was because they had been apart that they cherished each other even more.
