"Robert, if you're not going over today, can I not go back to the villa either?"
She missed Tommy.
Yesterday, she hadn't gone home all day, and had been with Robert Thomson the entire time, not daring to secretly call her son.
Since Robert wasn't going back tonight either, she wouldn't have to exhaust her brain in pleasing him or find ways to keep up the act. She wished she could go check on Thomas now.
Robert glanced at her, leaving Emma Smith uncertain if he would agree.
After all, Robert Thomson was highly disciplined in everything he did, and he did not tolerate being questioned by others.
However, Tommy was different. These four years, she and Tommy had relied on each other. She would miss him intensely after going just a day without seeing him.
Still, she couldn't make her longing too obvious in front of Robert.
