Ultraman's show ended on TV, and the sound of commercials gave Thomas a chance to look towards the silent Emma Smith and Andrew Lee.
His movement caused Emma to immediately get up, "Andrew, I need to go back!"
Andrew glanced at Thomas, who had already approached Emma, and found no reason to keep her here. It seemed he could no longer ask the question from earlier, so he just replied with a smile.
"Okay! I'll walk you out!"
"No need, I'm just across the hall. It's very close!"
Emma's rejection made Andrew feel as if his impulsive words earlier had put more distance between them.
"Emma... about what I just said... you..."
To put Andrew at ease, Emma quickly responded, "What did you just say?"
Emma's expression seemed genuinely unaware, leaving Andrew momentarily bewildered. Then, a hint of melancholy flashed across his face before he quickly replaced it with a sunny smile: "Oh! Never mind!"
"Well, goodbye then."
