Zhang Xiaohua stared blankly at the rock face in front of him where the rabbit had disappeared. He didn't dare touch it with his hands, so he took his small cane and jabbed it at the rock, but nothing unusual occurred. The cane didn't disappear. He then poked at the nearby stone walls, and quickly discovered something odd. In the area where the rabbit had vanished, about half a man's height in a circular region, though jabbing with the cane didn't feel weird; there were no snowflakes falling, nor were there pebbles or clumps of dirt dropping from the rock. The area behaved as Zhang Xiaohua expected, with snowflakes flitting down and bits of dirt falling when he poked harder.
Clearly, something unusual was happening here.
