Chapter 161 - Chapter 159

A/N:- Now we are back to previous schedule. I had to delete the strongest homeroom teacher novel because the original author wanted to publish it himself. Previously we worked together, but she decided to do it on her own. Hope you guys will support her. The novel had the same name so you can search it on webnovel.

After listening to Helen, Lucas got the general gist of the situation. Helen was burdened with the responsibility to care for the tribe, which had been put on her by her parents. And this burden was currently crushing and suffocating Helen. She was only a teenager, and she was responsible for a whole tribe, having to lead her tribes to the South.

Lucas turned his head and looked at Mina and Annie. These two beastgirls were also once responsible for a group of people.

Mina and Annie saw Lucas's eyes on them, and they smiled and looked at each other. They could tell from their eyes that they both felt fortunate to have met Lucas, as it was because of him that they could live freely without worrying about anything. It was also because of him that they could eat what they wanted, drink what they wanted, and do what they wanted every day.

Lucas could see the strain etched into Helen's features. Her shoulders were tense, and her eyes held a weariness that belied her age. He knew that such a heavy responsibility could easily become overwhelming, especially for someone so young. The tribe's future was resting on her shoulders, and the weight of it was almost tangible.

"How can I help?" Lucas asked gently, wanting to offer his support without imposing. He knew that Helen might need more than just words of encouragement. She needed practical assistance, a way to share the burden, or perhaps just someone to listen and understand the enormity of what she was going through.

"My lord, I want to bring my tribe to Sedona City. Can you take them in?" Helen requested, standing up. She lowered her head, and her long rabbit ears drooped down.

These words made Lucas come back to his senses. He looked at Helen silently, and during her nervousness, he said, "Helen, of course I'm willing to take them in. As long as they are willing to work, then they won't starve to death."

"My lord, thank you." Helen stood up straight, and there were tears in her eyes. She lowered her head again, and in a choked voice, said, "Really, thank you very much, my lord." Helen had previously doubted Lucas and wondered if he was scheming something and ticking the beastkins. However, after a few days of living in Sedona City, Helen realized that not every human was bad, as her parents had claimed. My lord is different from them all. He's different from the other nobles and humans. He is genuinely willing to take in beastkins and also doesn't discriminate against beastkins.

Now, Helen spent her mornings happily experimenting with buns in the kitchen, and after enjoying a delicious breakfast, she went to teach at the school. She would first read a passage from Journey to West and then teach the children to read and write. They called her Teacher Helen, which she loved.

Returning to the castle at noon to eat Nicole's food was the happiest time of her day, with Mina and Annie fighting over food, with Lucas occasionally taking part in the fight.

After that, she would go back to school to teach, and after school, she would sometimes go around Sedona City with Annie, buying buns and lollipops. At night, she would sometimes listen to Lucas's lectures with Annie and sometimes just watch him work in silence.

These were the happiest days of her life. She wanted to immerse herself in this life forever. However, she hadn't forgotten her purpose. She came here to experience life and see if Sedona City truly accepted the beastkins and allowed beastkins to live here.

And over the past few days, Helen found the answer. Sedona City was indeed willing to accept the beastkins and allow them to live a proper life here. Thus, she couldn't indulge herself anymore and had to go back and bring her tribe here.

After all, winter was approaching, and she didn't want the tragedy from the previous year to repeat.

"No need to thank me. I will be very happy if there are beastkins willing to join Sedona City." Lucas said gently. Sedona City still needed more people, so he was happy to accept anyone, regardless of their race.

Besides, if Helen's tribe joined Sedona City, the burden on Helen would be shifted onto the tribe members. They would have to work hard and rely on themselves rather than relying on a single person.

"One last question," Lucas asked, a light flashing through his eyes. "Helen, are you sure that your people will follow you? Will they be willing to come to Sedona City?"

"Ah?" Helen was surprised and froze, but she soon nodded earnestly. "They will follow me."

"…" Lucas was silent for a moment. After a while, he said gently, "Then when do you plan to go?"

"I will set off tomorrow to tell them the good news." Helen said with a beaming smile. Her light red eyes were filled with anticipation as she imagined the excited reaction of her tribe members upon hearing the news.

"What? You're going into the Forbidden Mountain Range alone?" Annie exclaimed in shock. "You stupid rabbit, did you eat something weird today? Why are you spouting nonsense? You know how dangerous the Forbidden Mountain Range is. You going alone would be akin to suicide."

"I…" Helen didn't know what to say. With her strength, it would indeed be very difficult for her to return to her tribe alive.

"I'll have the War Wolves escort you." Lucas said softly.

"My lord, no need, I can go alone. There is no need for them." Helen said nervously, waving her hand. "I don't want my tribe members to misunderstand."

Lucas frowned slightly and quickly understood why. If Helen brought the War Wolf Squad to the tribe, nobody would believe her as they would think that she had brought humans to capture the beastkins and make them slaves.

"Young Master, let me take Helen." Mina said softly. She had lived in the Forbidden Mountain Range before, and with her abilities, as long as she didn't encounter a large group of animals, she would be completely safe.

"No need, Mina. You need to protect the lord's safety." Helen objected.

"I can protect the master." Ayesha exclaimed, raising her hand. "But I need a weapon."

"Um…" Helen blinked and looked at Lucas. She couldn't decide.

Lucas turned to look at Mina and asked, "Is there any danger in the mountain for you?"

"None." Mina shrugged, relaxed. "As long as we don't enter the inner area of the Forbidden Mountain Range, there is no danger for me at all."

Annie propped her chin on her hand, thinking. "With Mina's skills, there's really no danger if she's just escorting the stupid rabbit." Having known each other for years and having lived in the Forbidden Mountain Range together for a while, she was the person who knew Mina the best.

"I'll have the War Wolf Squad escort you for part of the way." Lucas said, deciding to let the two of them go together.

"Thank you, thank you so much, everyone." Helen said, bowing, her rabbit ears drooping.

"Like I said, you really are a stupid rabbit. You're our friend." Annie said, rolling her eyes. "Do friends need a reason to help each other?"

"Yeah." Mina nodded.

There were tears in Helen's red eyes. She wiped them away with her hands and nodded firmly. She wanted to continue living in the castle, eat Nicole's delicious foods, go shopping with Annie, learn self-defense techniques from Mina, and read the books Lucas had written.
