A barrier soared directly towards a massive cluster of dark clouds occasionally emitting crimson lightning, casting a bizarre glow.
The atmosphere between the rooster and the dragon inside the barrier was silent and peaceful.
Draconius was deep in thought. One could say that someone blessed like him from birth truly didn't understand Gold's pain, but stories like the rooster's inspired him to explore the world and escape this ignorance. To venture, feel various emotions, meet people – all of it fascinated the dragon, fueled by the tales his parents shared and the countless stories he read.
His parents narrated many wonders about the universes they visited, and reading various tales ignited a desire in him to experience all the emotions conveyed in those stories, even if they included pain and sorrow.
"So, is this fear?" At that moment, Draconius began to experience various emotions. Thanks to the thrilling battle, he was born extremely weak, capable of perishing even at the hands of a simple mortal – something he would have found impossible billions of years ago. Powerless, without his parents' protection and a home to shelter him, he felt fear, anxiety, excitement, and various other emotions bubbling beneath his calm exterior as he observed the vastness of the cosmos.
"Hey, I just remembered, you explained so much, but in the end, you didn't say why you hit the jackpot." Gold suddenly turned his head and spoke to the dragon with eyes closed, interrupting his thoughts.
"Tch... It's going to be a pain!" Thinking this, Draconius sighed and opened his eyes, saying, "We're heading to an ancient, ageless battlefield. According to the memories of the old guy who tried to steal my body, even cosmic gods like me were trying to kill themselves there."
"Old guy? You're much older than him!" Gold asserted with an empty gaze at Draco, who responded with a lifted snout.
"I'm a young cosmic entity in draconic form in the late adolescence that hasn't even reached adulthood. So, he's indeed an old guy who lost to me!"
"Yeah, yeah... But I feel like you're hiding something from me... Stare." Gold stared at the dragon, who clicked his tongue and admitted:
"Tch... This battle left the place with an intense chaotic aura, making the apocalypse much more likely. It's not uncommon to see universe explosions, chaotic evil beings wandering in space, or lifeless universes on the brink of death." Draconius spoke in an annoyed tone while sitting.
"YOU..." Suddenly, Gold opened a small system panel and began typing frantically.
Horrifying scenes started to appear – apocalyptic worlds, videos of a universal explosion filmed from afar, extinguishing even adjacent universes, and invasions by corrupted beings.
"You... You... you!!!" With a trembling finger, Gold pointed a feather at the sitting dragon with crossed arms while trying to speak.
Seeing this, Draconius put his claws to cover his ears, walking a bit to the side, and said, "The old battlefield is right there!"
"Choke YOU'RE CRAZY!! DIVERT THIS SHIP NOW. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Gold choked and panicked, placing several golden eggs immediately as a gigantic cloud covering the horizon emitted a macabre aura.
'I knew this would happen, but it doesn't seem so bad, hehehehe!' Thinking this, he looked at the golden eggs and silently made them disappear into his personal space.

"Give up. Even though you're linked to the system, neither you nor I would survive without my parents' barrier. Now, we have to prepare for the unknown when we enter. So, use this control to shoot at anything that approaches." Draconius spoke, smiling brilliantly, skillfully maneuvering the barrier toward the clouds made of strange matter and energy.
"HELP! WUUUU!" Gold pounded on the barrier, trying to escape, crying and placing several golden eggs that mysteriously disappeared.
Exhausted, the rooster fell on the golden floor, wiped tears with his wings, and hesitantly picked up a golden control that materialized on the ground. It had a joystick and a single button.
"Relax...Everything is under control! You control the bottom machine guns that will materialize, I'll use this control to operate the top machine guns while moving the barrier mentally." An identical but larger control appeared in Draconius' hand, and four golden machine guns attached to the barrier appeared – two below and two above.
"Wow!" Both Draco and Gold opened their mouths, impressed by the robust appearance of the weapons. At the same time, seats materialized and secured the duo with seatbelts.
"Ready, co-pilot?" Draconius spoke with a sharp look towards the unknown.
"Y-YES! Plop Gold spoke with a trembling body, placing another golden egg...
'It doesn't seem like it... But now, thinking about it, why does a rooster lay eggs? Isn't that the role of hens?' With these profound thoughts, the barrier entered the cluster of clouds.

In a completely fog-covered scenery, a golden light barrier navigated like a submarine exploring the depths of the sea.
"It's really hard to see." Gold spoke while trembling, turning his head in all directions in a state of total alertness.
"I'll start accelerating." Draconius spoke, and with a thought, the barrier gradually accelerated.

A crimson lightning followed by countless roars formed, illuminating the entire region and revealing the shadows of countless creatures slowly surrounding them. Exposed, they started flying towards them.
"WHAT IS THIS! RUN, RUN!" Gold screamed with all his might.
"No need to say!" Draco screamed back with fear in his voice and accelerated the barrier with everything.

The machine guns started firing projectiles, removing all the mist from their path.
"AAAAAAH!" The duo screamed together as the view of the enemies appeared.
"Raising defense barrier!" Another layer appeared on the barrier.
Various creatures were in sight – monstrous giant blue octopuses, gray faceless humanoid beings with horns, a swarm of giant red bees, and worms of various types and sizes.

The four machine guns fired at full tilt, leaving a mixture of various blood fluids flying along with monster corpses.
"TAKE THAT, YOU MONSTERS!" Gold screamed with tears in his eyes, looking down and desperately pressing the button and moving randomly.
"AAAAH!" Draconius advanced the barrier with a cry and dodged what he could.
*BOOM!*

Suddenly, a giant purple energy beam emerged between the horns of a faceless humanoid larger than the others.
"AVOID, DRACONIUS, AAAAAH!" Gold screamed, with a high-pitched voice, trying to kill the creature with a burst of shots that hit the head squarely and killed the creature.
"HELP, MOMMY!!!" Even Draconius was starting to call for his mother upon seeing this laser coming and did everything to make the barrier get out of the way.

The attack passed beside the barrier with a sharp sound, making the duo feel the environment heating up.
"TAKE THIS OTHER CONTROL, I'M FOCUSING ENTIRELY ON DODGING AND MOVING FORWARD UNTIL WE GET OUT OF THIS FOG." Draconius immediately threw his control, which shrank to Gold's size, and focused entirely on steering.

Suddenly, the bees advanced together behind the moving barrier, launching various stingers that scratched the barrier.
"DIE, DAMN WORKERS!" Gold seemed to have gone mad, pointing the machine guns at everything that moved.

The barrier was hit by a giant octopus that stuck to the front of Draco's view.
"AAAAH! GET OUT OF THE WAY!" Draconius screamed in fear, seeing the beak-like mouth trying to pierce the barrier. After that, several ink balls hit, leaving the barrier completely dark!
"I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING!" Gold shouted, but didn't stop for a moment and began shooting randomly.

Several hits appeared on the barrier, and outside, several octopuses and worms stuck to the surface, trying to pierce through.
"SHIT!" Everything happened in seconds, but the dragon immediately materialized the control panel and activated the golden windshield that materialized, sending all the attached octopuses flying in various directions.

"AAAAAH! WE'RE GOING TO DIE!" Gold saw several glows appear behind them and explode into dozens of purple rays, starting to cry while placing one egg every second.
"SHOOT THEM, DAMN CHICKEN!" Draco turned his head, roared with a high-pitched voice, dodging several laser beams.
Suddenly, everything darkened, and Draco immediately looked forward to find a giant cylindrical brown worm over 100 meters long.
"AAAAAAAAAAH!" Seeing the teeth and a green liquid resembling pus, Draco screamed and narrowly avoided it.

A crimson lightning suddenly formed and hit the barrier, almost throwing it into one of the purple laser beams.
"WE'RE GOING TO DIE!" Draco immediately screamed, crying along with the chicken upon seeing this.
Creatures came from all corners, and a relentless chase ensued for who knows how long...
