In the morning I awoke, I knew what today was… I had transfered to St. Walpurga's school of supernaturals. A Private school for Witches, Vampire, Dragons, Werewolves, and everything in between. Slowly getting up stretching my arms, walking towards the mirror and looking in the mirror. Taking a brush, and stroking it through my mane repeatedly; in a rythmatic movement. I was Anxious, and scared. The school has always been a place for supernaturals, but factions still hated eachother… I suddenly heard a knock at my door as my Aunt Lenore's voice muffled but still audible spoke through the closed door.
"Adonis, Your gonna be late. Hurry up, and put this on."
She leaned down, as I could see her hand push something under the door. I slowly, walked closer; approaching with exhaustion evident in the way I carried myself and moved. Leaning down I picked up the fabric, it was a folded black silk hankerchief; I felt something within it however. I slowy unfolded it, finding a witches talisman. A rare tool, used by witches to focus their power and preserve them. I walked back towards the mirror, Putting on the talisman made of witches bone; Closing my eyes I began to gently tear up. I didnt know why, Then I realized; there was a note next to it. Picking up the note it read 'To my son, this talisman belonged to one of the strongest witches in my lineage… Her name, Abigail. She was burned to death and didnt fight back hoping someone would take pitty on her descendants. Using her talisman, enchanting it so it would find its way to the one who needs it. When your mother and I were being chased it found me, and now if you recieve this. It means it has found you, but remember do not allow this talisman to fall into the wrong hands… love, Nikos."
Dropping the note, now covered in dropplets of tears I had to collect myself. I took the school uniform; slowly putting it on before I left for the first day. It took a good ten minutes to arrive at the school; and when we arrived there was two students waiting at the doors. I knew one was a witch, as the lapel pin they wore was in the color royal purple; this color symbolized a witches connection to the mystic arts. He was around six foot, with chestnut-brown hair and green eyes. He was rather tan, and had a darker skin tone.
The other one, this one female. Her lapel pin was a Fiery orange hue; it represented flame and violence. Meaning she was a Dragon, she appeared to be maybe a inch shorter then the witch. Her hair was a dirty-blonde, and eyes a emerald green. When we got to the gate, it slowly opened; creaking as Lenore parked the car. Leaning over and kissing me on the cheek, I chuckled and hugged her. Taking my suit case, and getting out of the car. As I got out the Dark haired witch spoke to me, his voice filled with exitement.
"Welcome, I am Demitrius; I am enrolled in the witch faction as our representitive. And this is…"
He stopped and let the woman speak, she crossed her arms. Her eyes flaring with a flaming hue for a second, witches and Dragons had always been on lets just day not so good terms. She hissed, as she spoke in a genuinely upset and very annoyed tone. She obviously wasnt a big fan of witches, then again not many dragon's were. Witchcraft was a major weakness for dragons when it came to the Baneful Arts.
"Amaryllis Blaze, Dragon…"
Demetrius gave her a stern glare, before turning back to me. Letting out a deep sigh, he extended one hand; and so I obliged. Reaching out my hand, shaking his own. Amaryllis let out a annoyed groan, speaking sternly;
"lets get this tour over with."
Demetrius nodded in agreement, and I could see a small bit of blush in Amaryllis' face. She had become slightly flushed, most likely in anger. Dragon's have always been impulsive and quick to anger, and as Demetrius noticed this he smirked. Kneeling down, putting one hand to the dirt; The area went silent. I could feel the earth, sensing his presence within it… He was a Green Whisperer, a incredibly rare form of witch capable of connecting to the natural energies of the world around them. He began to hum, opening his eyes; as his pupils glowed green. A small bud of plant life manifesting beneath his touch; the energy releasing a warm spring breeze as the bud slowly grew rising into the constructive form of a rose. The green energy began to dissipate, as he picked the rose and put it in Amaryllis' hair. He leaned in and whispered something to her, however she began to blush and covered her face.
I blinked in confusion, before the realization hit me. These two were dating, this was highly rare and frowned upon; then I heard a car behind me. I turned Around and saw a familiar figure, I saw Elijah. Becoming flustered. as Amaryllis cleared her throat collecting herself, speaking in a calm tone;
"At our school we only ever accept pairs, me and Demetrius were pairs. We have a magical system, it determines and lures mates towards eachother. So Adonis, this is your mate. His name is Elijah-"
I cut her off, letting out a anxious laugh as I spoke in a sarcastic and rather annoyed tone as the ground below me began to frost over. I pointed my hand out getting ready to use my magic on Elijah, genuinely ready to go off on him. I was tired of being chased by a-a-a Dragon, a selfish greedy creature who likes to burn things for fun. Ice and snow slowly neginning to flurry around my hand;
"You have got to be kidding me, this man has been stalking me for the last couple weeks!?"
Demetrius extended one hand, as vines erupted from the ground like a squids tentacles rising from the water. His iris' glowing green as he spoke in a commanding, and rather annoyed tone; vines restricting my magic as they wrapped around and constricted by wrists; he then pointed his hand towards a pillar, waving at as the vines pushed me binding me to the pillar; I struggled against it but was unable to escape.
"Enough… Adonis I get you were taught to fear Dragons but you do not have the right to treat someone as lesser out of fear. You need to be better then our ancestors, if we continue to live in segregation it will breed nothing but violence and hatred…."
He put his hand down, the vines retracting returning to the earth. As he leaned on Amaryllis who helped him, it was clear doing such high level spells was weakening him. Yet I didnt understand, he was defending a dragon. But I had no choice but to agree. He was the Covens high Priest; meaning until defeated within a formal duel he was incharge of the witches within the school. I looked to Elijah who didnt look afraid one bit, he just looked at me smiling. It was annoying, but he hadnt yet done anything to attack me… maybe I am wrong, but I know sure as hell I will NEVER date him…
