Chapter 1 - Chapter - 1

"Father, Believe me!!", I said while being held down by two knights. My father, Archduke Cassio, one of the most powerful men in the empire. Stood there holding Renata Cassio in his arms.

The woman who stole everything from me the day she arrived. My reputation, My man, My father, My friends, and the spot for the Crown Princess. The. Day. She. Arrived. I lost everything.

She just stood there with both of her hands covering her face.

The crowd roared with anger and protest to have me put down for the attempt to poison the Crown Princess. The Crown Prince didn't come. He tried to plead with the emperor (his father) to just have me banished from the empire but his attempts failed.

"Do you have any last words to say?" The executioner said while holding a sharp bladed sword above his head.

"Not to any of you", The only person I want to speak to right now is the Crown Prince. The only person who tried to plead for my innocence.

"Then so be it", I noticed the executioner's face smile like this was the happiest moment of his life. When it was the worst moment for my life.

"I hereby sentence Juliette Cassio to death for the attempted assassination of the Crown Princess", The once angry crowd turned to excitement. I'll never forget the name of those who used to laugh beside me now laugh for my death.

I closed my eyes not wanting to see their faces anymore but that's when i heard a familiar voice yell out my name. "Juliette!!!", It was the Crown Princess.

The Crown Princess was riding a horse through the crowd. He had his hand in the air which held a necklace. The royal family special heirloom.

I was glad the last face I would see was the love of my life. Claude Yttri.

*schwing* The executioner swung his sword down and at that same moment Claude threw the necklace in the air. Towards me.

Everything when black. I couldn't hear anymore. I couldn't see anymore.

"Lady Juliette, It's time to wake up", Who was that?
