Chapter 33 - 33. Inheritance and spatial ring

"Alfred go check whether Bogrod has returned or not" He came back in minutes saying that Bogrod has indeed returned and is free to meet me. I went to Bogrod's office while Alfred went to bring Hermione.

"Good evening lord potter. What can I do for you? "

"Hey Bogrod. I want you to perform an inheritance ritual for my friend Hermione then we will talk about other affairs."

Bogrod nodded and Hermione also arrived with Alfred. When she took the first look at me she stood shocked at her place looking at me continuously.

"Hey Hermione. It's good that you are here. Let's get this done as soon as possible."

"Harry! its really you.. " She pounced on me started touching my face.

"Harry you look so cute .. and sweet.. and handsome.. and regal.. and.. and.. " She started stammering in the end while her incessant compliments amused me as well as made me feel shy.

"Okay Hermione.. Thank you for the compliments. Let's first complete our business and I will let you hug me later. I can already imagine Emma's reaction." I chucked separating her from me.

I told Hermione to give 3 drops of blood for the ritual to Bogrod, which she did after my permission. And what a surprise it was. She truly had a magical ancestry. She was a descendant of Dagworth-Granger line. This did not have any political effect but she did have a vault to inherit.

We went to her vault and there were loads of galleons and many many books on potions and related topics. With this inheritance, while not as rich as me or other pure-blood houses, she was richer than 80% of the magical population.

I immediately asked Alfred to bring Emma and Dan to gringotts so they could decide how it should be handled. And again had to promise Emma that I will let her hug me as much as she wants later before she let me go. Even Daniel poked my cheeks 2-3 times while I was convincing Emma to let me go.

In the end it was decided that their account will also be managed by Bogrod and news about this matter will be kept secret for now.

We decided not to hide to too fiercely as would be a perfect cover for me in case I was found with some precious things. My friendship with Hermione will then protect my other secrets as we will simply let people think that Hermione and her parents are helping me using Dagworth-Granger's imheritence.

With the matters settled in gringotts, Grangers went back home while I returned to the smithy.

What I wanted to do was to forge a spatial ring just like those mentioned in cultivation novels. For that I would need to apply the knowledge of goblin smithing, enchanting, runes, charms, and space magic. I had been thinking about it for a few days and had thought about how to go about it.

Taking some goblin silver, which by the way is not silver magically treated but a whole new metal just names that way, I first imbued the intent of loyalty by blood and intent recognition as well as protecting its master's treasures in it while shaping it in the form of a fine ring. Then I used enchanting on an emerald gemstone to be the carrier of my portable space and shaped it in a square form. After that, I let Alfred open a tiny space in it and I expanded that space or fortified it using charms and space magic. Then came the delicate part, fitting the gemstone on the ring and forming a connection between them. I used ancient runes for the purpose while also making it so that the space will eject the object as per my intentions eliminating the need to search for them.

What appeared before me was a failed product because of too many mistakes made during its production. I also realised that it was not very safe as someone has to just destroy a part of the runes for the ring to stop working properly.

"System. Distribute the rewards."

[Ding! Distributing the 1000 times positive results.]

A massive amount of information and knowledge appeared in my mind. It contained knowledge on the areas I made mistakes, on how to correct them and the experience of making spatial rings after solving and overcoming all the problems.

I destroyed the earlier made ring as it had become a complete waste. Then I used new materials, completed the whole process once again with some new modifications made. Lastly I coated the ring and made a protection around the gemstone using mithril.

It was a success as I had forged a spatial ring with a space as big as a 5 to 6 basketball standard basketball courts. After the system's reward I got to know about more modifications that can be done and it also increased my experience by a lot thus reducing the forging time.

By this point it was already the evening of the next day and I was feeling very drained but I knew that going home to rest would result in a long delay so I took a 30 minute nap and had some light snacks before resuming to forge a new ring.

It took me 6 hours to forge a new ring but the results were indeed satisfactory this time. Not only was the ring more beautiful and more durable but it was also much better functionality wise. In this ring I used a dark brown tourmaline gemstone on a rose gold colored magical metal, both of which were quite difficult to obtain. In this ring I separated the space in two parts in the ratio of 5:1. The smaller part was a separate space with no connection to the larger part as I made it as an emergency dustbin. For ex. killed a troll, dump it and all the surrounding mess in this area.

In this way a beautiful female spatial ring with rose gold base and diamond shaped brown gemstone was forged. It did not look magical if one does not try its functions so I was not worried that it would attract any unwanted attention.
