Chapter 5 - 5. Plans and Goals (updated)

"Alfred, go to different Gringotts branches around the world and ask them for the list of services they provide. Also, ask them for the procedure of transferring accounts from one branch to another. And how and to whom to file a complaint in case of misconduct by the bank. Remember to specifically ask them for books on laws related to Family accounts. Don't mention my name anywhere."

A quiet "Yes sir." was all I heard in response. Normally, a house elf would not have been able to travel continents using magic, but as Alfred had max affinity with space, he could directly travel to Mars—let alone anywhere on Earth.

Talents and affinities are no jokes. Sure, one can succeed after many years of hard and dedicated work unless you have a system like mine. And in that case, everything changes.

As I waited for Alfred's return, my mind wandered over my situation. The Dursleys' house was infuriatingly filled with wards that made doing magic impossible. However, I still had my books, my system, and time—one precious month before Hogwarts. This month would be crucial to shaping my future.

I quickly made a mental list of what I needed to focus on. I had no time to waste:

1. Finish reading all the first-year course books at the very least.

2. Use my system to gain as much advantage as possible.

3. Try to build some form of mind defense—search for books on mind arts across the world and start with meditation until I can access more advanced techniques.

4. Get the best enchanted trunk I can find. Maybe I'll ask Alfred to get one from America.

5. Search for fanon knowledge—no matter how embarrassing or inaccurate. I wouldn't waste a single opportunity.

6. Think of some kind of bargaining chip to hold against Dumbledore when the time comes.

7. Find a way to invest in Muggle stocks—after all, I was supposed to be a prodigy, and this could be a great resource to build my wealth.

8. Find books on tracking charms, loyalty potions, and how to remove them—an essential step to protect myself from any possible magical interference.

9. Find a personal law wizard and healer. Maybe Tonks would be a good start.

10. Have Alfred retrieve valuables from robbers, thieves, drug dealers, and mafias. Store it secretly somewhere safe. No one would be able to trace it back to me.

11. Start exercising.

"Oh my god..." I muttered to myself, feeling overwhelmed. "So much to do, and so little time. I can't waste time procrastinating. Let's start right now. First, let's try the system."

I rubbed my hands together in anticipation and pulled out a book I had borrowed from the library—A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot. I started reading, but after only one page, I stopped, feeling a strange sensation fill me.

[Ding! Host read a book. Distributing rewards.]

Along with the notification, I felt an overwhelming rush of information and insights flood my mind. Gasp! This was… amazing. Just reading the first page, and I had been rewarded with the knowledge of the entire book—along with extra remarks and insights into it. There were even some corrections made by the system. It felt like I had read the entire book in an instant and gained a deeper understanding of it than any wizard or witch ever could.

I couldn't believe it. The system was far more powerful than I had initially realized.

I thought back to my plan, to finish only the first-year course books. But now? Now, I could finish the books for all seven years of Hogwarts—and more—within a fraction of the time. I had completely underestimated the capabilities of this system.

Feeling an exhilarating sense of possibility, I decided to test it further. I took out a parchment and quill, determined to see how far this reward system could go. I started writing down everything the system had shown me—extra details, insights, and corrections made to the text. I made sure to try my best to make my handwriting as beautiful as possible, though, truth be told, it still wasn't anything to brag about.

After filling one entire parchment, front and back, I stopped.

[Ding! Distributing rewards.]

Once again, I felt a rush of information. This time, it wasn't just mental insights. I could feel an improvement in my writing ability—like I had practiced penmanship daily for nearly two years. My handwriting had transformed from crude and awkward into something much more elegant.

[Ding! Distributing 1000 times positive results.]

A third rush of experience filled my mind. I could feel the results of my efforts—my penmanship was now practically flawless. I had gained so much skill in such a short time, it was like magic itself was working in my favor.

I grinned, pleased with the progress. "System, can some settings be changed?"

[What does the host want to change?]

"Don't make announcements every single time. Only do it for important results. Distribute all the rewards while I am sleeping, or if I specifically ask you to distribute them immediately."

[Settings successfully changed.]

"Thanks, system. By the way, can I decide what type of reward I obtain from the system? I mean, which aspect of the result I want to amplify?"

[The host has no control over it as the system only distributes rewards that will be best for the host.]

I nodded in understanding, even though I couldn't help but wish for a bit more control. But, I had learned to trust the system's judgment. It was clearly working in my favor.

After that, I turned back to the course books. There was still so much to do, but now I had the time—thanks to the system. As I read through the rest of my first-year materials, my thoughts kept drifting back to the gifts I had received. Each new insight, each new ability, felt like an extraordinary step closer to mastering magic on a level beyond anything Hogwarts could offer.

I couldn't wait to see how far I could go. The possibilities were endless, and I had only just begun to tap into the potential of my system.
