Uriel stood there with a benevolent smile, by his side was Circuitel holding the World Splitter. He came forward and presented the celestial crown, which radiated a heavenly light. It appears as a shimmering halo of radiant light, encircling the head of whoever would adorn it. At its core the crown radiates a gentle, golden light, reminiscent of the sun's warmth at dawn. Encircling this luminous core are pointed tips, each crafted and adorned with jewels of every hue that sparkle within its structure.
"Congratulations on completing the trials my Lord." Uriel said while both of them bowed to one knee.
"No, get up please. You guys don't have to do that." I said while gesturing for them to stand up.
"Well, I'll give you some time to rest before the crowning ceremony. Circuitel, please take his bedroom and have someone prepare for dinner." Uriel hastily ordered before heading.
"As you wish Uriel." He replied.
So, Uriel unveiled his wings and flew off towards a distinct section of the walls, which opened up and allowed him passage. I then looked over towards Circuitel and was eager to see what improvements he made.
"Right, before we get you prepared, I'm sure you want to see what I was able to improve." He asked.
"You read my mind."
The weapon looked nearly the same as I left it, however at the center of its handle was a freshly welded opening with a floating purple orb in the middle.
"While I wasn't able to improve its strength or durability, these new abilities would definitely intrigue you."
'Alex, what is it?'
[It appears to be an object similar to the red gem Xavier possessed]
'Wait, so that means-'
"The World Splitter is now the Devourer. With the artifact I built the blade can now absorb energy from your opponents and the world itself."
I was shocked to say the least that such a broken ability would present itself.
"How long was I in there? There's no way you just whipped this out in a day." I stated.
"There's a reason I'm called the greatest tinkerer from above. In fact with the extra Qi the sword will absorb, I'm sure your stats will receive an added boost whenever you wield it."
He handed it over and I checked my status.

The power I felt as I gripped it was mesmerizing, and the fact that it would steal my opponents' energy to increase its own stats was insane. He then handed over the sheath and I placed both back in my inventory.
"Now I shall have some of the servants take you to your room." He spoke.
In an instant he snapped his fingers and twelve expertly dressed beauties came into the room. All were female, and with great harmony they bowed in respect to us both before swiftly leading me out of the throne room.
After moving through the endless stairs and hallways I was finally presented before a pair of large golden doors. These were probably the only doors in the whole manor. I went in and they followed suite, and before I could take in the full grandiose nature of the chamber, they had already prepared my attire. Handing it over they left me to dress up; and half a second later I could hear hushed laughter and chatter from the hallway. It was clear that they were delighted to meet me but had to be professional.
I took a moment to embrace the room and its lustrous design as I kept the pile of folded clothes aside.
It truly is a paradise which was the very definition of luxury, and grandeur; certainly befitting God. The spacious room is adorned with opulent furnishings and intricate décor; rich tapestries hang from the walls, while soft carpets cover the marble floors, cushioning his steps with every stride. A lavish canopy bed, draped in sumptuous fabrics and adorned with golden embellishments, stands at the center of the room, offering a haven of comfort. Gilded mirrors and ornate chandeliers cast warm, golden light throughout the chamber, giving divine serenity.
A curtain away stood a luxurious bathhouse, rivaling the rest of his living quarters. Its exquisite marble floors and walls, polished to a brilliant sheen and adorned with intricate patterns. A large, sunken bathtub, carved from the finest marble, sits at the center of the room, inviting relaxation with its waters. Surrounding the bathtub are shelves lined with fragrant oils, plush towels, and other bathing essentials, ensuring a truly divine experience. Crafted from gold were the sink and shower; and paired with the sparkling crystal chandelier above to the soft, ambient lighting, every detail of the bathroom is designed bring a sense of luxury.
"Ok, this is a little bit much." He commented, feeling overwhelmed by the beauty.
[Well, you did wish to relax when we first got here right?]
"I guess so, but this, this is amazing and exactly what I needed." He said before jumping on the super-sized bed.
He landed on it and sunk into its fluffiness, laying there for a moment and finding himself unable to get out.
"This is the softest bed ever." He said while trying his best to not slip into the land of dreams, but ultimately fails.
After an hour-long power nap, he gradually emerged from the depths of slumber, his senses slowly awakened to a world of unparalleled comfort. The bed cradled Zephyr in its embrace, cocooning him in comfort. With each breath, he savored the delicate scent of freshly laundered linens, the subtle fragrance a soothing balm to the mind.
As my eyes fluttered open, I reluctantly rose from the embrace of the bedding, my limbs still half asleep. With a contented sigh, I stretched their arms and with haste, I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, my bare feet sinking into the plush carpet beneath. I took off the torn and ragged clothing I had woken up in upon arrival, revealing my godly physique.
Looking into the mirror, I was reminded of my last fatal encounter by the scar on my chest, giving a deep sigh before making my way to the ensuite bathroom, where a lavish shower awaited.
The air was infused with the invigorating scent of eucalyptus and mint, the aroma swirling around in the air. Stepping into the spacious shower, I was enveloped by a cascade of warm water, its soothing touch washing away the remnants of sleep and leaving my skin tingling with renewed vitality. Applying the special soaps and shampoos prepared for me, it felt as though all other forms of relaxation were fallacies. I stayed there for a few minutes, basking in the warmth as I knew it would probably be a while till I enjoyed this again.
As I emerged from the shower my dark hair was wet, weighed down with water it covered my face as it dripped non-stop. My skin being wet and dewy, I grabbed one of the many towels from the shelves. Wrapped in a plush towel, I made my way to the bedroom, water dripping from my body and hair onto the floor and leaving a trail as I did.
Heading towards where my garments awaited, and with meticulous care, I selected each item of clothing from the many options presented. In the end I'd say it was a success.
A majestic tunic, crafted from luxurious fabric in deep shades of blue or purple, adorned with intricate patterns and celestial motifs in gold or silver thread. A dark blue cape drapes over my shoulders, flowing gracefully behind, as finely crafted jewelry adorns my wrists and neck, adding to the allure of the attire.
Finally, I stood before the mirror, my reflection a vision of grace and refinement. With a satisfied smile, I admired my appearance, knowing that I am ready to face whatever challenges the day may bring, confident in my own strength.
"Right, I've got this. No holding back." I said as I left the room.
The maids were waiting outside the doors, and I could swear they all blushed for a moment before maintaining their composure.
"Well, after you ladies." He said, gesturing for them to go ahead.
After some time, I was brought back to the throne room, however as we passed through the permeable walls, I was surprised by the many angelic beings present. Not only that, but the room was transformed into a scene fit for royalty, with every detail attended to. At the center of the hall stood an elongated dinner table, organized with ornate silverware and crystal glassware, stretching majestically to accommodate the esteemed guests. Surrounding the table, an army of waiters and waitresses moved with silent grace, attending to every need with impeccable service. Lavish displays of culinary delights adorned side tables, offering a tantalizing array of delicacies fit for kings and queens. The air was filled with the harmonious strains of live music, adding ambiance to the festivities.
"Oh my, you're here already!" Uriel screamed, turning everyone's attention towards me.
"Is that him?"
"Is our Lord really back?"
"Is he mortal, preposterous!"
Many murmurs and questions plagued the room, but one voice hushed them all.
"This is Zephyr Everwood my brethren. Our Lord in the flesh has returned!!!" He roared and as he did most of the angels jubilated while the rest remained quite unbothered.
But one thing was for sure, everyone's eyes would be focused on me tonight, and every action I took would be judged, criticized and compared to my previous self, so I steeled my resolve, ready for anything.
"Um, hi everyone?"
[You have got to be kidding me]
'You be quiet'
"Anyway, why don't we all have a seat and enjoy dinner." He said, and without a second thought everyone sat at their respective tables.
However, it seemed that the central table was registered to important guests as Zephyr sat at one end, accompanied by Uriel and Circuitel by the sides; and the rest of the seats filled by the same group of angels that didn't seem delighted my presence.
'Just wonderful'
The first course arrived, the beginning of a flavorful journey. Platters of succulent roasted meats, tender and juicy, beckoned with their savory scent, danced upon my tongue. The meats were accompanied by an array of vibrant vegetables, each one stewed to perfection.
As the feast unfolded, the table groaned under the weight of its delectable offerings. Golden-brown roast potatoes, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, beckoned with their irresistible aroma, while rich, velvety gravies cascaded over mountains of creamy mashed potatoes, infusing each bite with unmatched flavor.
But it was the desserts that stole the show, laying unparalleled in their sweetness. Towering cakes adorned with swirls of buttercream and fresh berries promised a new world of flavors, while pastries filled with rich, creamy custards melted upon the tongue like clouds of bliss.
As the meal drew to a close, the guests savored the lingering taste of perfection; their senses alight with the memory of a feast fit for royalty. The plates were taken away as the tables were cleared. The guests then crowded around Zephyr, hoping for an opportunity to interact with him.
He however was practically in a food coma; his mind was now blank with nothing but the sweet taste of heavens delights. The music played on and after many hours of partying and meeting people the event was over, and most guests cleared out. All those who remained were those who sat at Zephyrs table, and it seemed as though it was nearly time.
"Well, what do you think? Isn't he worthy enough?" Uriel asked the other angels still present.
One of them at the opposite end of the table spoke.
"What is this about Uriel? Out of nowhere you plan this huge event to honor someone who hasn't even taken the trials. Even if he is our Lords incarnate, he is but a mortal, nothing more."
I clenched my fists as I lost control of my Qi, but quickly composed myself.
"What if I tell you that he has completed the trials."
This sent a wave of shock through them, as they couldn't believe that a mortal could ever achieve such a thing.
"Impossible, completing such an arduous task would require exemplary control over Qi!!!"
"Well that shouldn't be an issue for one who achieved nirvana."
*BADUMP*
*BADUMP*
They rose to their feet, speechless. They didn't have any response to what they just heard. How could a mere mortal achieve the sought-out greatness their Lord never could? It was outrageous, blasphemous even.
"Do not speak lies before us, Wisdom of God. Just because you were created before us does not mean we should be taken for fools."
"Of course I don't, but we all felt that tremendous energy released from the mortal realm, the brilliant pure energy that shook the pillars of creation. He was the source of it, and I was able to witness its brilliance for just a moment."
Then the ringleader of the group snapped, bringing out his halberd, and pointing it directly at me. Fury filled his mind and blinded by it he was about to attack.
*BOOM*
In an instant the table was sent flying towards him at unperceivable speeds. It slammed him right into the wall leaving a massive crater behind.
"That's enough of your bullshit."
I was pissed, really pissed.
*AAAAAAAARGH*
"YOU DAMN HUMAN SCUM; YOUR KIN ARE THE REASON THE TRUE LORD IS GONE. HE DIED PROTECTING YOUR REALM!!! YOU'LL NEVER BE HIM, NEVER, NEVER!!!"
*HAAHAHAHAHAAAHA*
*Inhales*
*Exhales*
At this point, there was no reason to keep my energy under wraps; in fact it would be better to simply show them a fraction of my strength and it would shut them up.
Then he let go of his hold on the Qi flowing through his veins, letting loose the great power he had gained through Alex.
A massive, unruly golden aura surrounded me as intense pressure was released all around. My eyes and hair became a brilliant golden hue as I gave a death stare which froze him and his group in place.
"If I'm not good enough for gods like you, then how about I make sure there are no more of your kind?" A chill went down his spine, the energy, the authority, the merciless fury.
"No, no, no, no, please forgive me my Lord. I was foolish, and acted out of ignorance, PLEEEEASE!"
"ENOUGH!!!" Yelled Uriel.
His voice alone was enough to remind everyone in the room that he was still the strongest there.
"You should be ashamed of yourselves, switching sides and ideals at the slightest show of power, where is your pride?" Circuitel yelled.
Then Uriel spoke.
"Arkiel, I invited you and the rest of the commanders to this event in hopes of ensuring your compliance with the crowning. By no means is your opinion important, but I will respond duly to your claims."
"N-N-No I-I-I-I me-mea-meant no disrespect-" He scrambled to speak.
"Be quiet." Circuitel roared.
"If there was anything our Lord loved more than us, it was the mortals he crafted with morals. Especially humanity, they were the creatures capable of the greatest good, as well as the most atrocious evil, yet he still cared for them. As his children is it not out duty to honor our fathers will?"
"We as well are not infallible. Our very brothers, whom we spent every waking moment growing up with, betrayed creation for their selfish desire to live when their comrades, their family died on the battlefield. That is why your classist ideology must be purged, we are not superior to them in anything; may I need to remind you of the mortal kings? Whose combined strength neared that of Diablo himself."
"With or without your approval the crowning of Zephyr will happen, for it is his birthright!" Circuitel added.
Uriel then waved his hands and the crown appeared once again in his arms, Uriel came towards me and gave a deep sigh.
*Sigh*
"Zephyr, do you wish to be the Lord God of all creation?" He spoke.
"Yes."
"Do you desire the throne at the peak of existence?"
"Yes."
"Will you accept this crown?"
"No."
"Then with the power vested in my I declare you- Wait WHAT!"
With a stern look and steeled resolve, I spoke.
"I do not believe I'm ready." Zephyr admitted.
"But you passed the trials, you are more than worthy." Uriel believed.
"I don't think I am….yet" Zephyr explained.
Uriel sent the crown away with another gesture and bore an understanding smile.
"I see, very well. Once you defeat Diablo be sure to hurry back for your throne." He said with benevolence.
"Huh, how did you-"
"I'm the wisdom of God remember."
Zephyr gave a breath of relief and bowed in respect to Uriel.
"Thank you for understanding."
Uriel then turned his gaze to the other angels.
"I'll deal with you later." His aura alone proved that he wasn't an archangel for nothing.
They left immediately, looking dejected as they flew away. Uriel as well had gone to deal with the aftermath of my declination. There were likely many more events to be attended after all.
So, it was just I and Circuitel left in the throne room.
"Well, that was something wasn't it?" The elderly angel said.
"Yes it was." I chuckled.
"I had a present I intended to give you at the end of the celebrations, but now seems as good a time as ever."

[Welcome Circuitel]
I was blown away by this already. It was the first time someone else accessed the digital screen before my eyes.
"Ah, it's good to see I still have my privileges."
Circuitel then raised his arm as pixilated particles manifested within it in form of a cube. Then with a light nudge it hovered towards Alex and incorporated itself seamlessly.
"Let's hope this works."
"Wait, you don't know what could happen." I asked concerned.
"I built this program using some old information about the system. I don't really know how it will respond to this update."
They waited with anticipation as to the outcome of the angels' technological brilliance.

"Damn, I guess Michael was pissed after I quit." He said with unease.
I was stunned to say the least, in such a short time so many improvements have been handed over to me without hardship. I guess that's why its heaven.
"This, this is a game changer. Now that I can level up faster missions will certainly become more bearable."
"Thank you." I said with a smile on my face.
"Oh, don't worry about it. Now how about we go explore the realm? I'm sure there are tons of people you wanna meet right?" He asked curiously.
I realized that this realm was the dwelling place of all the good people to ever exist. Then that must mean they are here to, right?
"My parents, I want to see them."
"Well then what are we waiting for?"
