Chapter 1 - PRELUDE

Beyond the stars existed the highest peak of existence. The heavenly realm; was a dimension above the mortal and two above the chaos realm. It is a vast and nearly endless oasis within which existed countless landscapes. From enchanted forests to snowy hills which harbored many creatures and denizens of whom are human and angels alike. Nestled amidst ethereal landscapes, this imposing structure rises like a celestial monument, transcending the boundaries of earthly architecture. Glimmering with an otherworldly aura, the manor stands as a testament to the Lords' greatness and magnificence.

The manor's exterior is a breathtaking marvel of timeless design, combining classical elegance with futuristic splendor. Its towering walls are encrusted with luminescent gemstones, creating a mesmerizing display of shifting colors that dance with the cycles of the heavens. Enormous marble pillars, seemingly hewn from the very foundations of the cosmos, reach into the skies and embrace the stars.

The entrance to the manor is guarded by colossal gates that seem to guard the secrets of the universe itself. Crafted from iridescent metals, these gates shimmer with enigmatic symbols and ancient script, recounting the divine tales of creation and destiny.

As one ventures inside, the interior unfolds into a vast expanse that defies conventional dimensions. Halls stretch infinitely, leading to chambers filled with wonders beyond imagination.

The manor's gardens are a true work of art, flourishing with celestial flora that emits soothing glows and produces melodious harmonies when the breeze brushes through their ethereal petals. Fountains of liquid stardust cascade down shimmering rocks, bestowing rejuvenating and healing properties upon any who partake in the acts. The chambers within this divine abode are unique and tailored to the Lords individual domains. A library of infinite wisdom stores the knowledge of the ages, and an art gallery showcases masterpieces that seem to come alive. Halls of music resonate with symphonies performed by celestial choirs, filling the space with celestial melodies.

At the heart of the manor lies the God's throne room, a resplendent chamber encrusted with the purest diamonds and radiant gems. The throne itself appears to be a crystalline structure, crafted from the essence of stars and galaxies. Surrounding the throne, a chorus of ethereal beings kneel in devotion, paying homage to their divine master. There he was in all his glory. The Lord was a being of above average height with a lean but mighty physic and spotless white skin. He had golden flowing locks which glimmered in his own divine aura. His strong, chiseled jawline exudes a regal and commanding presence, while a gentle and captivating smile graces his lips. Finally his robe, a finely tailored silk cloth that extended from neck to toe adorned with an underlying color of orange and completed with a stream of golden patterns that that perfectly represent his persona. Most noticeably of all are the broad orange shoulder pads with a similar design as if to emasculate some sort of authority.

Thus, the majestic figure of God sat upon his grand celestial throne, his divine presence casting a luminous glow over the world below. As the keeper of light and the Lord of Earth, he watched over all creation, guiding the course of destinies and passing judgment on the souls of the fallen.

In the heavenly realm, he wandered through fields of resplendent flowers, their vibrant hues reflecting the beauty of his divine kingdom. The air was pure and filled with an aura of tranquility, harmonizing with the gentle footsteps of the god as he interacted with his loyal subjects, cherubim and seraphim fluttering nearby, expressing their unwavering devotion.

But amidst this serene scene, the tranquility was shattered by a heartrending wail that echoed across the divine courtyard. The messenger angel, Uriel, approached, his wings quivering with distress. "My Lord!" he called out, his voice tinged with sadness.

God turned his serene gaze to the angel, his expression calm and composed. "What troubles you, Uriel?" he inquired in a gentle tone, though an undercurrent of power resonated in his words.

In a hushed tone, Uriel revealed the unsettling news. "The Generals of Chaos have arrived on Earth."

Upon hearing this, the keeper of light, normally composed and serene, could not contain his mounting anger. The atmosphere around him crackled with divine intensity, causing all those present to instinctively withdraw from the overwhelming aura.

Uriel, who was himself an Archangel, struggled to maintain his composure before the outpouring of divine wrath. "N-not yet," he stammered, answering the Lord's unspoken question about whether an attack had commenced.

God's eyes flashed with determination, his mind already formulating a plan. "Gather Raphael, Chayyliel, Gabriel, and Araqiel," he commanded with unwavering authority. "Assemble my armies while I prepare myself."

And in an instant, the imposing figure of the handsome God vanished, leaving a bewildered and awestruck Uriel to contemplate the magnitude of the impending clash between the forces of light and darkness. The heavens themselves seemed to anticipate the epic confrontation that was about to unfold, as the fate of the mortal realm hung in a balance.

Barely an hour had passed, yet an army beyond millions in number had gathered, stretching as far as the eye could see. The heavens themselves seemed to shudder under the weight of anticipation. At the forefront of this celestial assembly, a golden caravan carried the Lord, resting with a mixture of resolve and sorrow etched on his divine countenance. Beside him stood four out of his five remaining archangels from the previous devastating war.

Within the vehicle, the Lord sat with Gabriel, one of his most loyal and steadfast companions, by his side. "My Lord, our armies are ready," Gabriel said, his voice steady despite the gravity of the impending battle. "They only await the sound of the horn, to crossover to the lower world."

God hesitated, his eyes betraying a mixture of emotions. "What if it goes just as before?" he pondered aloud, his voice heavy with regret. "I lost hundreds of thousands of my children to the first battle between I and Diablo, barely being able to send him back with the Morning Star." His gaze turned inward, haunted by the memories of that dreadful conflict. "Not to mention the Morning Star was lost in that battle..."

Gabriel's heart ached as he saw the pain in his father's eyes. The archangel's unwavering loyalty was laced with a deep empathy for the divine being before him. "ENOUGH!" he cried out, unable to bear the thought of his father's sorrow. He quickly composed himself, his voice trembling with emotion. "Pardon me, oh dear father," he said, bowing his head in respect. "But I also lost my own brothers that day. Though I may never be as good as Michael was, I am ready to fight in his place to give them justice in eternal rest."

As he spoke, tears welled up in Gabriel's eyes, but he tried his best to hold them back. He reached out and placed his hand gently on his father's, a gesture of solidarity and unwavering support. "Please allow us to do this, father," he implored, his voice catching with emotion.

The Lord was momentarily speechless, the weight of his emotions overwhelming him. A soft chuckle escaped his lips, tinged with both sadness and pride. "Very well," he finally said, his voice carrying the weight of an eternity of responsibility and love.

And with that, as the keeper of light blew the horn the time for battle had arrived; a large golden portal materialized before them, wide enough to swallow the entire army of winged warriors. They surged forward, their war cries filling the air with a resounding determination. The Lord watched them go, his heart heavy with the knowledge that he may lose more of his beloved children. But he also knew that his archangels, like Gabriel, fought not only for the sake of humanity but to honor the memory of their fallen brethren.
