Chapter 5 - What Are You ?

As I read through his stats once again, I couldn't believe my eyes; I hadn't misread it.

[Summary: Truly astounding. If you remain unconvinced even after witnessing it firsthand, there are no words that can sway you. This individual's strength, agility, and stamina seem immeasurable. Their other attributes display incredible potential as well. Their capacity for growth as a wizard is fearsome, yet their potential with a melee class is even more astonishing. Currently holding a common grade class, they stand on the brink of new opportunities for advancement. To compare them to player Kee Miyoung would be sacrilegious. Kee Miyoung should feel privileged to share a conversation with this extraordinary person.]

'What is this nonsense…'

Even after blinking my eyes, the title of regressor remained unchanged.

'Time travel? Really?'

At first, it was natural to not believe in such a thing, but now, after witnessing all those monsters, I was willing to suspend my disbelief even further.

"The Swordsman Who Started the 2nd Round."

I was too stunned to speak.

If my unique ability, Eyes' Check, wasn't deceiving me, then the person standing before me had already experienced this situation in the past. That could explain why he wasn't afraid at the starting point earlier. 'Damn...' I couldn't help but curse silently in my head. I knew life could be unfair to some extent, but I never expected to feel this level of unfairness in a place like this.

His stats were extraordinary—high growth potential, fast class acquisition, and a heroic grade attribute. 'By the way, is it possible to check other people's attributes?' As soon as the thought crossed my mind, the information appeared before me.

[Attribute: Sword Expert] - a damage boost for all sword actions and increased attack power proportional to the time spent wielding a sword. It seemed like a good quality attribute that rewarded training and dedication.

While I couldn't help feeling bitter about the apparent unfairness, I had to acknowledge that his attribute was ideal for building a strong foundation as a warrior. Suppressing my emotions, I turned my attention back to the others.

"Hyung-ssi, who..." Park Deokgu began to inquire about the stranger.

"My name is Kim Hyunsung," he replied.

"And this is...?" Park Deokgu gestured toward me.

"I'm Kee Miyoung."

"This... this isn't the first time you've fought, is it?" Deokgu asked the stranger.

"Yeah, as you can see. Hyung-nim made this leather armor for me, and I've already gained some experience in hunting. I haven't fought much, but still. Hyung-nim was the one who led the way and took down a monster with his spear. Thanks to him, I found the courage to face these creatures."

"You seem to be a little... experienced with this."

"Well, it's all thanks to Hyung-nim. Rather, he seems to be even more experienced... Didn't you see how he stabbed that monster in the head just now?"

"I was lucky," I said, trying to downplay my role in the fight.

I couldn't help but feel uneasy as Kim Hyunsung's gaze fixated on me. It felt like he could see right through me, and the sensation was unnerving. 'Is it just my imagination or some kind of magic?' I pondered, unsure of what was causing this strange feeling.

"What..." Hyunsung began, looking directly at me.

'Maybe he knows that I was reading his Show Details ...?' I worried that my attempt to discreetly check his attributes might have been noticed, and that thought made me anxious.

To divert the conversation, Park Deokgu intervened with a smile, "Hyung-nim, why do you keep staring at your Show Details? Did you get a class?"

I breathed a sigh of relief at Deokgu's timely intervention. "Sort of. I will tell you in a minute," I replied, trying to appear nonchalant.

Despite trying to act innocent, I couldn't help but have ulterior motives in my mind. If this man had gone back in time, his advantageous Show Details could be explained, but it also meant he could be a formidable opponent if he saw us as threats.

I decided to turn my attention to Jung Hayan, the woman who was still recovering from the recent ordeal. "Thank you," she said, acknowledging my help.

"It's nothing. We were also looking for survivors," I replied, trying to be humble.

She hesitated but then reached out for my hand, indicating she needed help standing up. I could feel Kim Hyunsung's gaze on us, and I realized I had to be careful not to raise any suspicion.

"Thank you for your help. I'm Kee Miyoung. That was the first time I'd encountered three of those monsters at once... If not for you, we would've been in trouble," I expressed my gratitude to him, hoping to establish a rapport.

"I'm Kim Hyunsung. I remember your face from somewhere," he replied.

"You helped me a little at the starting point. I'm very grateful for that," I reminded him.

"Ah... it was then..." he recalled.

"Yes. Back then, I was running away. It was insane..." I said, though, in reality, I didn't remember much from that chaotic moment.

Kim Hyunsung seemed to realize that his earlier words might have been a bit rude, so he apologized and extended an invitation, "Oh, excuse me. Would you like to come with me?"

Park Deokgu nodded his head in agreement, leaving the decision to me. While I had reservations, I knew I had no other choice but to agree. In total, they had 30 people residing at that camp.

With Park Deokgu and me joining, the group might be better equipped to face the dangers ahead.

However, I couldn't shake the feeling that increasing the number of people might lead to complications and chaos. 'When five people gather, there will always be one fool amongst them. In a gathering of 30 people, the problem would be even worse.'

Nevertheless, I had numerous questions that needed answers, and joining this survivor camp might bring me closer to unraveling the mysteries of this world.

"Alright, we'll come with you," I finally agreed.

It was a decision mixed with hope and apprehension, but it was the first step towards understanding this new reality—a reality that involved regression, unique abilities, classes, magic, and the enigmatic tutorial that demanded answers.

Kim Hyunsung possessed a profound understanding of the most effective approach to tackling the dungeon, and not only that, he held invaluable knowledge about the entire continent. It was evident that following his lead was the wisest choice.

"I will go," I decided confidently.

"Good decision. Let's get going then. More monsters may come here soon," Kim Hyunsung replied.

"Yes," I affirmed, uncertain about my decision.

"Oh, right. This person is…?" he inquired, gesturing towards me.

"My name is Jung Hayan. Um, I…" I began, feeling a bit nervous.

"Ah, nice to meet you. I'm Kim Hyunsung," he said, offering a warm smile as we exchanged greetings.

While supporting me, Kim Hyunsung took a moment to scrutinize this guy's face. His expression appeared different from when he looked at either me or Park Deokgu. His gaze lingered on me for an extended period, which surprised me. There was an unusual sense of accomplishment concealed in his eyes, like a man who had found an oasis in the desert or discovered a long-lost family member. Perhaps he noticed my wariness in response to his intense stare; nevertheless, he continued to look at me intently.

"If you stare at someone like that, anyone would become wary," I thought to myself.

I couldn't help but speculate, "Let's assume…"

It might seem humorous to think this way, but for the sake of argument, let's assume that I was to relive my life from the beginning. I wondered how Kim Hyunsung's previous life had led him to this point. Whether he was content or filled with regret, this regression might have been intentional, implying that he might have had regrets from his past life.

"The One Who Failed" was one of his titles, and humans are inherently creatures of regret. If I were in his shoes, I would undoubtedly contemplate the "what-ifs" and try to rectify the mistakes that haunted me. But I would also strive to exploit any advantage available to me, gathering talented individuals, treasures, classes, and anything else that could be of use. Furthermore, I would eliminate any potential threats or enemies that might come my way in the future.

"It's funny, but…" I mused, realizing that if Kim Hyunsung showed no reaction to me and Park Deokgu, it likely meant we were not significant figures in his future or posed any threat to him.

"We must have been mere passersby in his life," I thought.

However, the woman who had caught his attention, Jung Hayan, was entirely different. She held tremendous value with her explosive potential as a wizard or priest. Connecting the dots from what I had observed with my Mind's Eye, it became evident that she would play a crucial role in the future.

"This woman will undoubtedly impact the world,"
