Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

"So magic doesn't exist but curses do?"

She said as she played chess all by herself in her room, pondering what her brother had told her, her brows furrowing in confusion

'It seemed that they've removed magic in this world

She thought as the words that she heard from her brother kept on replaying in her head while flipping the pages of the book,

"Magic? Really sister? You've read too many fairytales, or is it because you thought everything that your favorite author had written was real?" Her brother was laughing at her, as he then looked at her innocent face,

He then smiled at her, and patted her head, "Father has hired a tutor for you before you'll properly debut in society" he told her, her nose scrunched hearing his words, she then crossed her arms

"I don't need a tutor, I've already read everything that a lady should do or not do when debuting in society" she retorted back at him, as she saw his brother scoffing at her words

"Says the girl who had thought magic was real simply because her favorite author said so"

Hearing those words, she let out a glare in her direction which he didn't care about even a little bit,

"Forgive me for interrupting, My lord and My Lady"

Both of their heads shot at the door only to see a brunette maid, bowing at them, not wanting to make eye contact as if they were to do so,

"Do you need something?"

"His Grace requested for you to see him in his office, my lord" She responded to him,

"I see, thank you for telling me, You go now" Hearing his words, she gave them a short bow before running back to her work,

"My dear baby sister, I need to go, Father asked for me and whether you like it or not, you'll learn the basics from scratch!" He exclaimed, giving her a gentle pat on her head before leaving the room and going toward the Duke's office,

Leaving her alone in her room, she took a deep breath before she walked towards the door, closing it shut,

She then sat back on the couch, as she then pondered his words, which kept on lingering in her mind,

'If Magic doesn't exist, how would Brother be able to save the Heroine?'

'Would this world follow the storyline that I wrote or write a new path?'

'And why do I have magic? Why do Spring and Lily have magic? Did Magic go extinct? Or everyone has just forgotten its existence?'

She kept on thinking of various questions and possibilities, but she couldn't point out the answer, as if something was missing,

"Should I stealthily read some ancient books in the imperial library?" She muttered, as she groaned so loud and went to lay in her bed, her head tilted and facing the window, Seeing that it was already dark,

She had dinner with her family a few hours ago, and no matter how she tried to ask them the reason why they wanted her back, none seemed to want to answer her, always avoiding the topic and acting as if they didn't hear it

She just gave up asking and decided to eat silently and went back to her room afterward, and now she is bored and her mind filled with unanswered questions

"Everyone in the Palace must've fallen asleep by now" she muttered as she stood up from her bed and faced the door that led to her balcony,

"Though I hate to use magic, they've left me no choice" she uttered before she snapped her fingers as her whole appearance changed, her white silky hair turned black and her red eyes became Royal Blue,

She looked herself at in the mirror, checking to see if there was more evidence that would expose her as a Florence, checking from the bigger details to the smallest,

"I should go," she said, as she took a step backward, distancing herself from the mirror, but her gaze remained at the mirror,

She snapped her fingers twice, and in just a split second, she was teleported to the Imperial Library, which only the Imperial Family and the High Priests can enter,

Her gaze then looked around the library, admiring the thousands of old books that had been written for more than a century,

"These books may be precious, but they seem not to care" she uttered as her hands traced on the dusty shelves and scoffed,

She continued to look around and saw a dusty book, that had a brown cover, she took it and blew the dust away, revealing a very beautiful cover, though the book was slowly wilting, its beauty remains

'Edenbell History'

She carefully inspected it, as she slowly opened the first page, her eyes widened as she saw a portrait of someone,

*swoosh*

She paused for a second, noticing something was off, she looked around, looking at her sides, closed the book, and held it tight,

*thump*

She swiftly ducked her head and immediately stood up and turned to look in a certain direction to see a dagger,

"It seems a kitty found her way here"

She turned to see where the voice came from, when a black haired handsome young man, emerged from the shadows,

Her brows furrowed, recognizing the man, she then curtsied at him, "Your Highness, Prince Luke" she greeted him, feeling confident that she wouldn't be exposed as a Florence,

"Oh? So you know who I am?" He asked her, letting out a smirk from his lips,

"Then you must've known that this place is off-limits unless you're Royal, but never in my life have a cousin or relative that looks liked you" he added, as he walked closer to her, his Royal Blue orbs scanned her whole features that resembled the Royal Family,

'Prince Luke, the 2nd Prince, also known as the Cursed Prince, is the final boss of this story, who has defeated By my brother when he transformed into a monster on his 25th birthday'

She thought, remembering how she wrote him, as evil as a devil, and how ugly the monster that he would turn into,

"Are you an illegitimate daughter of my Father?" He exclaimed, his mouth opened wide, shocked by his statement, looking at the emotionless girl whose identity is questionable

She didn't respond, which made him feel uneasy, he then let out a glare in her direction, and drew his sword from its case,

"Or you're simply just a rat, you won't mind that I'll kill you here and there right?" He was smiling when saying those words, he then is ready to slice her,

She then let out a sigh, "I bid you farewell your majesty, I need to go back, as it's getting late"

Hearing her words, he then stopped whatever he was doing and looked at her with a confused look, "So you think you can get out of here alive?" He remarked as he let out a hysterical laugh,

"You are a very amusing Young Lady, but too bad your life will be cut short"

But she let out a sigh knowing that he was so keen on killing her, She then looked him in the eye, and as the blade was getting near her, she snapped her fingers twice, and she was then transported back to her room, with the book in her hand, leaving the young Prince in the library, who is confuse to what he just witness

Unable to do any movement due to shock, he was baffled, and never in his wildest dreams that magic exists, because it is only a subject of fantasy in a certain Author's story

"Your Majesty!"

He turned around and saw his blue-haired assistant rushing in his direction, "I already told you a million times! It's time to go to bed!" He heard his assistant immediately burst out at him,

He then let out a loud sigh, "Marx, Stop nagging, it makes my ear bleed" he responded as he rolled his eyes and walked towards the place where the book that the mysterious lady took, was placed

"You need to rest early! The Young lady of the Florence would present herself tomorrow and your father requested that the Princes should attend!"

"Tsk. Why do we need to? I'm sure that he wants at least one of us to be engaged to her" He remarked as he then crossed his arms,

"You have no other choice and you know that, and besides, I've heard that the young girl is quite pretty" he heard him say, he could only roll his eyes in dissatisfaction, couldn't believe that they could value a woman is by their beauty,

"But Marx, I've witnessed something extraordinary this evening," he said, as he could only smile, remembering the look of the mysterious girl's face,

"What kind?"

"A beautiful Lady, that has magic and is somehow looking for a book here in the library" he shared, as he tried not to laugh after realizing the book that she had taken,

"Magic? Are you not mistaken, Your Highness?"

"I'm sure, and I'm also sure that you already had someone in your mind," he remarked as Marx could only nod, agreeing with his statement

"The infamous Lady Ria, right your Highness?" His assistant wanted to confirm, "Yup, I'm pretty sure that she is that girl whom I saw just now, No wonder people can't track her, she's a magical being" he explained, as he smirked

"Do you have a plan of some sort, your highness?" Marx, worriedly asks, seeing the mischievous look of his master,

"But even so, the Young Lady of the Florence seems to be mysterious as well,"
