Annabelle had arrived at Quinn's Real estate development company bright and early that morning. As his assistant she was in charge of checking his schedule, fixing meetings, handling his trips and overseeing the reports submitted from various departments. She had a lot on her plate. The company's latest project involved finding suitable sites for development. It was a big task, one that the research and development teams had been working on.
As she settled into her office, Annabelle noticed a flashing light on her computer. Curious, she opened her email and found a plethora of reports from the R&D department . The company had been working on a new project. Annabelle knew that it was her responsibility to sort through these reports and present them to her boss later in the day.
Annabelle dove into the reports, eager to get a sense of what the team had discovered. Each report contained valuable information about different sites, including the availability of resources, land size, and proximity to important amenities. It was clear that a lot of hard work had gone into these findings.
As she read through each report, Annabelle made notes and highlighted the most promising sites. She knew that these reports would form the basis of her presentation to her boss. It was crucial that she presented the most comprehensive and accurate information.
After hours of dedicated work, Annabelle finally had a clear picture of the potential development sites. She compiled all the relevant information into a comprehensive report for her boss.
Once her report was ready, Annabelle printed a copy and made her way to the boss's office. She knocked on the door and entered, feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
Mr. Edwards Quinn welcomed her with a warm smile and gestured for her to take a seat.
She sat down waiting for the phone conversation to come to an end.
Alright mother, I'll bring her home this weekend, he said before ending the call. He glanced at her.
Annabelle stood up and laid out her report on his desk and began explaining the findings. She highlighted the most promising sites, emphasizing their potential for growth and profit.
"Thank you Annabelle I'll review the report" he assured her.
"Miss Annabelle" his voice came again,it's official we're seeing my parents this weekend so get ready,I'll pick you up on Saturday morning he told her.
"By the way Fix a meeting in thirty minutes time.I have an important announcement to make."
Annabelle took note of the instruction. "Okay sir"
"Thank you Annabelle"he said and picked up the file glancing through it.
I'll excuse myself if there's nothing else
"You may leave" he said calmly, signaling her to leave.
As Annabelle got back into her office, she suddenly felt the need for a break. She picked up her phone and dialed her brother's number. They had always been close, and Annabelle valued his opinion and support.
"Hello, cupcake. To what do I owe the pleasure?" her brother's deep baritone voice greeted her over the phone.
Annabelle took a deep breath, knowing that what she was about to say might not sit well with her brother. "I'm getting married, bro," she said, straight to the point.
"What?" her brother's voice thundered through the phone. He couldn't hide his shock and anger.
"Are you kidding me?" he asked, his voice filled with disbelief. "You're getting married without our parents' consent? Has it really come to this?"
Annabelle tried to remain calm, despite her brother's anger. She knew that he was protective of her and wanted the best for her. She took a moment to gather her thoughts before responding.
"Calm down, brother," she said, her voice steady. "Let me explain."
Before she could finish her sentence, her brother hung up on her. Annabelle sighed, frustrated by his inability to listen to her side of the story. It wasn't the first time he had reacted impulsively without giving her a chance to explain.
"There we go again," she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes. "He never listens to me."
Annabelle quickly sent a quick notice to the company's group chat informing them of the impromptu meeting scheduled to hold in thirty minutes time.

The CEO, Edwards Quinn, had earlier called for a meeting summoning all the staff members from various departments to discuss the ongoing project that he was overseeing. As the employees gathered in the conference room, there was a sense of anticipation and excitement. Each department had its own unique role in the project, and it was essential for everyone to work together to ensure its success.
The sales department, property management department, marketing department, research and analysis department (R&D), legal department, finance and accounting department, and lastly, the Human Resources (HR) department were all present. The only department that was absent was the security department, as it had no direct involvement in the project.
The managers from each department took turns discussing their respective roles and strategies. They talked about the resources they would need, the timeline they had set, and the projected outcomes. Annabelle, Mr. Quinn's assistant, attentively jotted down notes during the meeting, ensuring that all the ideas and suggestions were captured.
After the meeting concluded, Mr. Quinn called for everyone's attention once again. The mood in the room shifted as he announced that he had an important announcement to make. As he cleared his throat, a hush fell over the room, and all eyes turned to him.
"I want to use this medium to introduce my fiancé, Miss Annabelle," Mr. Quinn said, pointing at Annabelle. She froze in shock, her heart pounding in her chest.
