Cindy and Lily stood in front of the door. Each of them carried a large gift hamper, brimming with colorful wrapping paper, ribbons, and an assortment of toys, kids story books, and clothes for little Karen. Cindy reached out to press the doorbell, the chime echoing through the large foyer on the other side of the door. Moments later, the door swung open, revealing a uniformed domestic staff member who greeted them warmly and motioned for them to step inside.
As they entered, Cindy and Lily couldn't help but marvel at the opulence of Annabelle's home. The spacious foyer led into a large living area where the ceiling seemed to stretch endlessly upwards. Crystal chandeliers hung from above, casting a gentle glow over the elegantly furnished space. The walls were adorned with delicate artworks, and white tiled floor gleamed beneath their feet.
