Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: The Hidden Beauty of Havenbrook

As the train journey came to an end, the sun had set, signaling their arrival at their destination. The gentle sway of the train had lulled Malcom into a deep slumber. Lord Minato chuckled and gently woke him, saying, "Hey, Malcom, wake up! We're at our destination."

Rubbing his eyes, Malcom stirred from his sleep. Still half-dozing, he mumbled, "Finally, we're here."

But Lord Minato had a mischievous plan to fully wake his young student. With a sudden clap near Malcom's ears, he startled him awake. Jumping up, Malcom let out a startled shout and began running away, only to be caught by Lord Minato's laughter. "You were too deep in sleep, my boy. Nothing was chasing you," he said, still chuckling.

Feeling a bit embarrassed but relieved, Malcom pouted, asking, "Why did you have to scare me like that?"

Ignoring his question, Lord Minato simply continued to laugh and teased, "Your face was priceless."

After settling into a taxi, they made their way to their hotel. During the ride, Malcom questioned why Lord Minato hadn't brought his car and was told that he wanted to experience the journey by train as they used to, and driving at night would have been too tiring.

After a restful night and a delicious breakfast, they spent the morning relaxing and watching television. By the afternoon, Lord Minato proposed a sightseeing adventure around the village. Excited to explore the natural beauty of the place, Malcom eagerly agreed.

They wandered through the village, taking in the scenic spots and enjoying each other's company. As the day progressed, Lord Minato mentioned that there was one special place left to visit. Intrigued, Malcom looked forward to discovering what awaited them.

Entering a taxi once again, Malcom couldn't contain his curiosity, bombarding Lord Minato with questions about the destination. Laughing, Lord Minato assured him that they would soon find out.

Finally, the taxi stopped in a forested area, leaving Malcom puzzled. With surprise written all over his face, he asked Lord Minato if the best view in the village was among the trees. Lord Minato, ever the wise master, told Malcom to learn to see beyond the obvious.

Malcom's complaints filled the air as he continued to express his doubts about their mysterious destination. Unperturbed, Lord Minato took matters into his own hands and dashed into the forest without any further explanation.

Fear gripped Malcom as he watched his master disappear into the dense foliage. "Hey, wait for me! I don't know where we are, and you're leaving me behind!" he shouted, his voice filled with panic and uncertainty.

But Lord Minato's intention was not to abandon Malcom; rather, it was to lead him on an adventurous chase. Realizing this, Malcom's eyes widened in both fear and excitement. He knew he had to follow Lord Minato to unravel the hidden secrets of this mysterious forest.

As Malcom set off, Lord Minato adjusted his speed to ensure that Malcom could keep up. The young apprentice pursued his master with determination, navigating through the wilderness with agility and courage.

"Wait for me!" Malcom continued to call out, the forest echoing with his anxious pleas. But he soon noticed Lord Minato's reassuring presence, guiding him through the twists and turns of the enchanting woodland.

As they weaved deeper into the forest, the air was thick with anticipation and curiosity. Malcom's heart raced with every step, eager to discover what awaited them at the end of this thrilling pursuit.

After a challenging run, Malcom finally reached his destination—a towering mountain or high rock. There, he was astonished to find Lord Minato standing at the summit, seemingly soaring high in the sky. Lord Minato looked down at Malcom and warmly called out, "Come up, Malcom." His beckoning gesture invited Malcom to join him at the peak.

With determination, Malcom ascended, his limbs aching but fueled by his strength and perseverance. As he reached the top, the view before him was breathtaking—a panoramic landscape that left him in awe.

Lord Minato smiled, acknowledging Malcom's resilience and hard work. What was the reason behind bringing him to this elevated spot? What lessons did Lord Minato want to impart in this seemingly ordinary place? As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the land, the stage was set for an important revelation in Malcom's journey as a swordsman.
