"No," Vol said. "They were expected. Hence the need to hurry, and not waste time performing quests when we've already more than gathered the required points."
"Quite right," Francis said. "A good bit of hindsight. Are we all done then? Is everyone here satisfied?"
"I am," Vol said.
"If Vol is, then I am too," Penelope said.
"Excellent," Francis said. "As always, it has been a pleasure, gentlemen."
Chapter 18 – The Colour Gold
The two days of waiting were spent wrapped up in more mystery than Vol had expected. There really was no information to be offered on the quest that Francis was to give them at all. And yet, he had made it seem such a profound thing, something noteworthy enough that he would have to keep it secret until the time came. It certainly made Vol wonder.
