"You learned something, Vale?" Vol said.
The woman didn't seem to want to answer that question. Vol didn't like the length of time that it took for her to answer. Despite her loyalty to him, it apparently seemed that there was another object that she was even more loyal to.
"I did…" She said with a fraction of bitterness. "But that ought not to be how progress is made. Progress is the steady accumulation of training."
"Yet normal training, you didn't gain much from," Vol said. "I wonder why that is?"
He wasn't trying to disprove her point, he was simply curious.
"Might I offer an alternative then, so we can never try such things again?" Vale said.
"Please, if you would," Vol said.
"Why not merely use your summons on us? Or on the weaker men. I would have thought that monsters would be the perfect training tool for a man," Vale said.
