The System displayed the quest as he thought about it. It was doing that more and more as of late – growing used to his thought patterns and anticipating his requests even before he'd vocalized them. He'd complained at first, but he'd grown bored of asking it to stop, especially when it didn't seem likely to listen.
The quest itself – long-standing though it was – had at least shown some sort of evolution as Vol himself evolved. It had been delivered all that time ago as a seemingly insurmountable wall. Blackbeard had seemed almost impossible to kill back then, but now, he was starting to look frighteningly human.
The problem was the hundred and fifty men that he now held say over. Of course, they weren't all absolutely loyal to him. They hadn't spent enough time with him for that. But Blackbeard was a far more natural leader than Vol. At the very least, they seemed far more likely to listen to Vol's commands than Blackbeard's.
