"It definitely reeks of a trap," Vol agreed, a hand on his chin. It was the most irritating sort of trap for him. One that didn't allow him a solid course of action as far as checking it. All he could do was choose to keep his men on alert, or force them to go to sleep. The thought of having his entire army awake for an attack that would never come wasn't a particularly appealing one, however. "We'd have enough time to ready ourselves after we see their coming regardless," Vol decided. "Have the men sent to bed, after you select some men for the watch, Harland."
Despite Harland being of the opinion that they were most definitely going to be marched on during the night, he saluted, and went to carry out Vol's orders as he was dictated to. "You go and rest as well," Vol told the scout. "Send the next group out when you get back."
"Commander!" The scout saluted stiffly, before striding hurriedly after Harland.
