"Do you still wish for those watches to be put in place?" Harland said. "I'm not sure how watchful the men will be, given how much they've drunk. Or how effective they'll be in the fight, once it comes around."
"They'll sober up soon enough, once blood starts to be spilled," Vol replied. "See it carried out as I told you to do it."
"Very well, Commander," Harland said, dipping his head. He'd drunk a fair amount himself, as had Vol, but neither of them had crossed the point where it wouldn't be easy to recover from."
