Ridley was forced to come forward, and continue pressuring them. Though he had all but given up on the battle in the courtyard, it wasn't as if he was unaware of it. He kept stealing glances down towards it, and seemed to realize that with every passing moment, and Vol's men cleared out the waves of enemies coming towards them, Ridley was losing his opportunity. As soon as that battle in the courtyard was settled, the dust settled along with it, and there would be no baiting Vol into something reckless.
