"And if we used your monsters, Lord Commander, the news would certainly spread," Vale agreed. "There would be too many strange stories about monsters playing a part in our victories, even if they can't prove that we're directly the cause of them. People would start getting suspicious, and rumour of what happened in the Yarmdon would spread. We'd be finished here."
Vol kicked at the wood on the floor again. They were out of options. It would be ever so convenient just to storm the castle with a monster that he had summoned in behind the defenders… But that didn't seem like it would be a plan without consequences. An Ogre, rightly placed, could have taken the Torn's castle alone, but such seemed to be a problem for a different future.
"So, we're out of options, is what you're telling me?" Vol said.
