When that bull began to move, the men moved onto the other cows, and rushed them from behind as well, without the slightest shred of fear. The cows were soon set to sprinting then. The herd gathered together, sensing what they assumed to be a predator. Once they were moving like that, even Ser Fieldcarer and his clueless soldiers were able to find a use. They held the herd into position, long enough for them to be driven out onto the road, and down it.
The sheep were a similar enough matter. Being more of them as they were, more men were required to keep the herd tight. A good sheep dog would have seen the job done far more quickly, but it was still achieved in short order nonetheless. And with the cattle on the road, the men had the battlefield that they required.
