To either side of the Sea Serpents, there were now gathered a fresh batch of men, some two hundred spearmen in each direction. It was the crucial position of the centre that they were forced to maintain, along with the two Ser Bakers. With them as their organizing point, Count Banderly quickly managed to give his army a purpose.
When that charge of infantry from Rockly did come, there was not a single Banderly man anymore caught out of position. They were echoing the hatred sent their way back was even more intensity.
"Cowards!" Came a cry from one of the Banderly Commanders, and the troops echoed it. Now that the trap had failed to kill them, it only increased their morale, as they saw through the façade their foe had tried to trick them with. They were determined not to lose to such cowardly methods.
